NAAME: Lotus Lean Manufacturing Event
THE BRIEF
NAAME invited Treefrog to document their exciting Lotus Lean Manufacturing event held at the state-of-the-art Lotus Training Centre in Norwich. The goal was to vividly capture how lean principles and proven methodologies are being enthusiastically embraced right here in the local community to significantly improve manufacturing efficiency and effectively reduce waste.
OUR APPROACH
We focused on capturing & illustrating the core lean concepts, including the TIMWOODS waste types (Transport, Inventory, Motion, Waiting, Overproduction, Overprocessing, Defects, and Skills), and how they are applied practically during the event.
The video aimed to educate and inspire local Norfolk manufacturers and engineers about the power of lean thinking to drive continuous improvement.
In addition to filming the training itself, we made sure to capture some interviews and vox-pops with the members themselves to find out what they thought of the event and of being a NAAME member in general.
THE PRODUCTION
Filming involved capturing hands-on workshops, participant interactions, and expert talks in the dynamic training environment. Our team worked closely with NAAME and Lotus facilitators to highlight real-world examples of lean tools in action, from value stream mapping to kaizen events.
By the end of the day we had captured more than enough footage to make a complete video for NAAME’s advertising and to be snipped into shorter reels for socials.
THE OUTCOME
The final video serves as both an educational resource and a promotional tool, demonstrating how lean manufacturing principles help businesses optimise processes, eliminate waste, and boost productivity.
It supports NAAME’s mission to strengthen local manufacturing through effective training and innovation and can be used to encourage more businesses in East Anglia to join their group.
